The Phantastical Tale of Aster and His Red Gem | Scott Petty
It’s been a long work week+ and the book shipments have been piling up. Finally got a break to open all the boxes yesterday and was pleased to see my copy of The Phantastical Tale of Aster and His Red Gem by Scott Petty (an Instagram mutual) amongst the hoard of hardbacks and ripped cardboard.
“Death: the only certainty. Someone should do something about it”
And after reading the tagline above, I can’t wait for things to slow down in July so I can crack this dark fantasy debut novel baby open and see what the story holds!
Me seeing this for the 14th time in my 5 years on tumblr and seeing more notes and comments but still reblogging it since it’s literally a World Heritage Post

“Above all things, the Sun Priest must unite what is above to what is below. He must mirror the perfect order of the heavens to contain the disorder of the earth. Only when these are aligned can there be balance, and without balance, surely the world will tip into chaos. —The Manual of the Sun Priest” — Rebecca Roanhorse, Black Sun (Between Earth and Sky, #1)
Time to reread the first two before book 3 is released in August.
